APPROACH
A calm, observational approach, centred around people as they are.
From first enquiry through to your session, everything is kept simple and unforced. There’s no pressure to perform or pose — just space to settle in and be yourselves.
I’ll offer gentle direction where it helps, but I’m always drawn back to the natural rhythm of the moment: expression, movement, connection.
The result is honest, understated imagery that feels like you.
Before the session
We’ll begin with a conversation about what you’d like to capture — at home, outdoors, your chosen venue, or somewhere meaningful to you.
I’ll offer guidance on location and overall feel, but everything remains simple and unforced, with space for things to feel natural and true to you.
on the day
Sessions are relaxed and unhurried. No pressure to perform or “get it right” — just space to be yourselves.
I work in a light, observational way, stepping in only when needed and otherwise letting moments unfold as they are.
At home or outdoors, I focus on connection, movement and the quiet details that often pass in an instant.
afterwards
You’ll receive a carefully edited collection of images, shaped with consistency, attention to detail and a natural finish.
A set of photographs designed to last — understated, honest images that hold a moment in time just as it was.
FAQ
What do you photograph?
I work across weddings, families, couples and personal branding, capturing people and moments in a natural, documentary style.
I also photograph events and a range of commissioned portrait work. If you’re unsure whether your enquiry fits, just get in touch — I’m happy to help.
What makes your approach different?
I focus on real connection over performance. My work is rooted in observation, capturing people as they are rather than directing them into something they’re not.
Do you pose us or direct us?
I take a gentle, observational approach. I won’t overly pose you, but I will offer light direction when it helps you feel comfortable. Most of the time, I’m simply guiding you into natural interactions so things feel easy and unforced.
It's completely normal to feel awkward at first, and honestly, most people feel this way at the start. My approach is designed to take that pressure away. We’ll keep things moving, relaxed and conversational so you can settle into the moment without thinking about the camera.
Do you help with planning?
Yes! From location ideas to timing and general feel, I’ll guide you through everything such as suggested location, timings, outfits and any props, so the process feels simple from start to finish.
How long will the session last?
It depends on the type of session, but I never rush things. We’ll allow enough time for you to feel comfortable so the photos feel natural rather than staged.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions can take place at home, outdoors, or at a location that feels meaningful to you. I can also suggest locations depending on the feel you’re after.
Do you travel for sessions?
Yes. I’m based between London and Essex, but I’m always happy to travel further afield.
With sessions outside of this area subject to an additional travel fee. I can confirm all details with you when we plan your session.
